    Dear section members,

The Diversity Section Executive Committee will be offering quarterly mentorship gathering opportunities in 2023 and would like to invite lawyers of diverse backgrounds who have been practicing for less than five years to attend. This will be a space for newer lawyers to ask questions and share experiences with attorneys, both new and more established, that are members of underrepresented groups. The first event will take place on Friday, March 3 at Immigrant Legal Center (1221 N Street Ste 221 in Lincoln) from 12-1:30pm and lunch will be provided. Space is limited, so please RSVP here if you plan to attend by February 17.

This will be a regularly scheduled opportunity for newer attorneys to ask questions and share experiences, fears, and concerns with a group of diverse attorneys of varying levels of experience, practice, etc. in a small group or one on one session.  The goal is to encourage and foster a mentorship-type program between newer attorneys and other members of the bar in a safe space to have frank discussions.

We hope to see you there on March 3 or at a future gathering!

    Bri
