Dear Section Members,
The Diversity Section is so excited to announce their next mentorship lunch – which will be taking place on July 26 at noon at the Concord Mediation Center in Omaha (Frederick Square | 2910 South 84th Street, Omaha, NE 68124).
This mentorship lunch's theme is Belonging. After we take some time to eat and get settled, we will do short introductions. We will plan to watch two TedTalks and reflect on them together. The first (15 min - with captions) is entitled The Myth of Bringing your Full, Authentic Self to Work. The second (9 min, unfortunately no captions) is entitled How to Build Community When you Feel Isolated. What does belonging mean to you? How can we create and promote belonging in the legal profession? We will engage in meaningful conversation to answer these questions, among others, and hope to encourage others and be encouraged ourselves to create community where everyone has a sense of belonging.
